Thoughts and Quotes from Luvologist

Luvologist Is Gone but Never Forgotten

“Luvologist” has been in my life for a little bit over eight years. Make that, “he” was always a part of me (excuse me while I talk about “him” in third person).

At the time, I figured it would be a good idea to create a persona that would give very frank and blunt love and relationship advice to the masses but do it with one catch. I would do everything I possibly can to separate “him” from me and I would never show his face. For so long, people relied on “experts” for their solutions. I defied those odds. I didn’t want it to be race oriented, or even male or female oriented.

I did real well. Let’s say “he” did real well. When the persona was started off on Yahoo! 360 (damn, I bet Yahoo! Is kicking themselves now for shutting that down) “he” became popular real quick. Then I moved “him” to the BlogTalkRadio world and set Internet radio on fire. “Luvologist’s” show became a featured show in about six weeks because of its popularity, which, back in 2008, it was unheard of. There were a few bumps in the road but everything was going well.

There comes a time when you need to shed the pseudonyms so that the world can hear YOUR voice.

THIS is that time. Today, I have finally decided to let go.

I won’t get into the reasons why, this is going to be short, sweet and to the point.

“Luvologist” did what “he” was supposed to do. “He” established a presence in the social media realm so that the LUV brand can go some places.

Now, it’s time to move on so that I (me) can go places.

“Luvologist” won’t be around but now MY legacy must begin.

This is me.

Be well…

Sincerely,

Brian D. Wood
